Deadline is a hassle-free administration andrendering toolkit for Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX based renderfarms. It offers a world of flexibility and a wide-range ofmanagement options for render farms of all sizes, and supports over60 different rendering packages out of the box. Deadline is thelatest version of Thinkbox Software’s scalable high-volume computemanagement solution. It features built-in VMX (Virtual MachineExtension) capabilities, which allow artists, architects andengineers to harness resources in both public and privateclouds.
In addition to enhanced cloud support, Deadline expands supportfor the Jigsaw multi-region rendering feature, which can now beaccessed in 3ds Max, Maya, modo, and Rhino. Deadline also includesan updated version of Draft, Thinkbox’s lightweight compositing andvideo processing plug-in designed to automate typical post-rendertasks such as image format conversion as well as the creation ofanimated videos and QuickTimes, contact sheets, and watermarkelements on exported images. Finally, Deadline introduces a wealthof new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.In addition tobuilt-in cloud support and integration with the latest 3D animationtools, Deadline now also supports leading architecture,engineering, and construction (AEC) applications such as AutodeskAutoCAD, VRED, and VREDCluster; CSI’s CSiBridge, ETABS, SAFE, andSAP2000; EnergyPlus; and Bentley MicroStation.
