Adobe Drive CC (version 5) software enablesseamless integration of a digital asset management (DAM) systemwith Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 6 desktopapplications. Once connected to a DAM server, you can access remoteassets through your operating system file browser, through AdobeBridge, or from the menus of CC and CS6 products that integratewith Drive: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and InCopy.
Adobe Drive CC enables you to connect Creative Cloud™ andCreative Suite® 6 desktop applications to
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets servers. A connected serverappears in your computer as a
mounted hard drive or mapped network drive. Once connected, you canaccess the server through the
platform file browser (Windows Explorer or Mac OS Finder), whereyou can work with remote managed
files as if they were local.
Adobe Drive CC is the name of the version 5 release. The product isreferred to in the documentation and
in the user interface as Adobe Drive 5.
Some desktop applications (Photoshop®, InDesign®, InCopy®,Illustrator®) and Adobe Bridge are integrated
with Adobe Drive 5. For example, when you use Photoshop CS6 to openand edit a file stored on an AEM
Assets server, the file is checked out automatically when youmodify it. When you close the file, you can
choose to check it in or simply save it. You can use Adobe Bridgeto access AEM Assets servers and files,
and to view, search for, and compare information about assetsmanaged by AEM Assets.
