It can handle coatings from rugates to ultrafast, fromsingle-layer antireflection coatings to demanding color separationbeamsplitters, providing all that is necessary for their design,analysis, production planning and even reverse engineering of afailed production attempt.
A wide range of performance parameters, from straightforwardtransmittance and reflectance to color coordinates in differentcolor spaces, is built into the software. It can synthesize designsfrom scratch or refine existing ones, investigate errors andextract optical constants of film materials for use in designs. Itconsists of a Core that is its minimum configuration. The Core issupplemented by a number of optional Enhancements that extend thecapabilities in various directions. The package is an integratedwhole with a progressive licensing system that controls theactivation of the various enhancements. This permits fitting theconfiguration, and price, to the needs of the user. The licensingsystem is a software one residing within the computer. Each user ispermitted to have the software installed not only on an officemachine but also on a laptop and machine at home. Licenses forthese are issued at no extra charge.
